What is associate membership?
Prospective alumni of SGU awaiting graduation before becoming fully initiated into full membership or persons matriculating into SGU for more than one (1) year and have transferred to another institution and successfully completed their degree program.
Who is eligible to become an associate member?
• SOM students nearing completion of the basic sciences i.e. 5th & 6th term
• SOM students doing their Clinical Rotations i.e 7th through 11th term
• SVM students in 5th, 6th & 7th term
• GSP students in their last term prior to graduating
• A & S students attaining 90 or more credits

How to become an associate member?
All eligible persons can submit a registration application online http://alumnirelations.sgu.eduand will be approved once the appropriate verification is completed
What is the purpose of this category?
• To introduce current students to alumni affairs at SGU prior to graduation
• To create long-term relations with them
• To increase the full-membership capacity
• To promote networking among current students and alumni mentors
• To introduce future professional opportunities to current students
What happens after associate membership?
• Upon graduation, each registered associate member will be notified of their eligibility to now become full members
• The graduate can now re-register within their respective schools and participate in alumni association activities in accordance to the by-laws
